India Hits 300 GW Non-Fossil Capacity Milestone Ahead of 2030 Target
India’s recent achievement of surpassing 300 gigawatts (GW) of installed non-fossil fuel-based electricity generation capacity is a significant milestone, but it also raises important questions about the country’s long-term commitment to clean energy. The Ministry of New and Renewable Energy announced that India has exceeded 60% of its target of 500 GW by 2030, demonstrating rapid progress in this area.
